By The Way is a new concept for 2022. Our focus is on the arts and independent artist representation. We are an artist network, set up to connect artists, art educators, people who work within the arts, who like to write about art or who just enjoy the arts in any which way. 

The project is in association with Vision & Us, a visual arts teaching and learning, community interest company. The founder is an artist educator whose aim is to bring together a small team of people who want to support the growth of artists through a combination of networking, showcasing, promotion, publication and exhibition. The platform can be used as advertising for sales, in addition to exhibiting, promoting shows and sparking creative dialogue between like-minded people. 

The network is an independent, free space. We do not charge artists nor do we take a percentage, if any sales are made through our platform. Any physical shows and publications will be funded by sponsorships and donations. Honestly, this really is all about the art! 

Why is the project needed? For artists who have already established a following, this is just a little something extra; a way to continue conversations around fantastic art already made and any new, upcoming projects. For artists who are at the beginning of their career or who are still waiting for recognition, this could be the first step in making that happen. To put it simply, the network is our way of saying "by the way, take a look at these artists and some of the great work they're creating."
